Nurturing Your Intentions: A Mid-Month Mindfulness Moment

The middle of the month is the perfect time for you to take a pause in the day-to-day hustle and bustle and check-in with the intentions you set at the beginning of the month. Grab yourself a tea, take a deep breath, relax your shoulders… you are here, and you are worth spending five minutes reflecting.

What dreams did you have for the month? Is how you’ve shown up the last two weeks aligned with this vision?

If it is – great. If not, give yourself grace – life doesn’t always go the way we planned. Regardless of your answer, what can you do today so that the next two weeks are closer to the intentions you started with? What do you need to eliminate from your life, and what do you need to prioritize, so you move even 1% closer to what you envisioned?

I am ready to blossom

My April mantra was – I am ready to blossom. This year has been about resting, recovering, and resetting and now I am ready to emerge back into the world as my fullest self. I’m ready to spread the joy by being the truest version of myself and by doing so, enabling those around me to do the same.

I’ve felt hints of the tingles of this alignment between my external and internal selves this month, now I need to pause to recognize and lean into those feelings. I’m challenging myself to notice those feelings and what I’m doing when I sense them.

I feel that alignment when I’m genuinely connecting with those around me. As I dig my hands into the dirt to bury seeds I hope will turn into a luscious garden. As I laugh and chase my son across a field or down the street. As I try to get out of my head and lost in a creative project.

There are 12 days left in April – I want to use them to breathe, to create, and to look across a cup of coffee and into the eyes of someone I care about.

Now it’s your turn – how is your April going? Are you living in alignment with your intentions, or are you going to make a change as we move into these final weeks?
